Beachbody’s success in helping other achieve their goals relies on 3 legs. The Fitness and Nutrition legs many already know about from seeing information on programs like P90X and Insanity, or using Shakeology. The third leg of success with Beachbody programs is SUPPORT. That’s where Beachbody Coaches fit in. Many of us are not nutrition or fitness experts, we’re ordinary people who are on the journey trying to get fit just like you. We have used Beachbody products, and have had success with them. We know what struggles you are having in getting fit, because we have gone through them ourselves, and continue to do so. We come literally in all shapes and sizes. We are an ear to listen to your problems, and we are here to help you find solutions that work for you. We are also here to give you the support and accountability you will need to succeed at your goals, whether they be fitness or a way to use fitness to achieve financial success.
How I Became a Beachbody Coach.
When I first started getting back into shape, helping others do the same was the furthest thing from my mind. In fact, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a “Beachbody Coach.” I had ordered P90X, and I was going to get to my goal of 180 pounds even if it killed me. I had no time to worry about helping others get fit, it was hard enough trying to figure this out for myself. Besides, who would listen to me, the middle-aged fat guy? I signed up for a free Team Beachbody Account to get on their discussion board. Not long after that I was contacted by a Beachbody Coach. This is exactly what I needed, someone who could answer questions, give me advice, and more importantly push me when I needed it. My Coach is now one of my best friends. She knows more about me than some of my lifelong friends, and she is always supporting me to do better. As soon as I started seeing results, she invited me to also become a Beachbody Coach, but as I said, I was focused on MY goals alone, so I declined the offer, and she understood my feelings, but still thought I would make a great coach. I wasn’t so sure, but she was.
I decided that in order to stick to my goals, I would start posting my progress picture. This meant that EVERYONE would see, and there was no turning back. I began to get support from my family and friends, but I also began to receive private messages from others, asking how I did it, and “what was my secret?”. I began to tell them about P90X, and many ordered it because of me sharing my experience. The day I achieved my personal goal, was a day I will never forget, and when I surpassed it WOW! However, the thrill of those achievements paled in comparison to seeing others I had helped reach their own personal success. One day one of these discussions took place in a public comment thread on Facebook and my coach also read it. She immediately messaged me, and again asked me to become a Beachbody Coach. Before I could answer, she told me what coaching was about, it was about sharing my story with others and pointing them in the direction of Beachbody products like P90X and Shakeology, and then letting them decide. It wasn’t about selling or pressuring people at all. When she told me that I was already doing exactly that, it really opened my eyes. I was a coach, whether I knew it or not. So she suggested I make it official and start earning a commission for all those referrals to P90X I was giving people. Looking back now I could kick myself for not believing in my ability to support others. Not only do others get support from me, but I get so pumped listening to their own success stories that it inspires me to keep going.
Do You Have What it Takes to Become a Beachbody Coach?
Have you ever helped someone decide on which movie to watch, or which restaurant to dine in? You didn’t have to pressure them, did you? They trusted you enough to know that if you suggested it to them, then it had to be good. That’s pretty much how it is with becoming a Beachbody Coach. You get to know those you help, you listen to their story, you find out by asking questions what their dreams for success are. They learn to identify with you when you share your story. You establish a trusting relationship with them. You become friends.
It’s amazing how people you have never met will open up to you if they know you care, and that you are going through the same things they are experiencing. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
I know you don’t feel sure that you could ever do such a thing. I was there myself. Some of the reasons I hear for not becoming a a coach are:
- I haven’t reached my goals yet, who would listen to me?
- I don’t have the time. I am too busy.
- I can’t or I don’t want to sell things.
- Is this one of those MLM Pyramid Schemes?
- It costs too much, I don’t have extra money to do things like this.
- I’m already a personal trainer or a registered dietician.
Why not Become a Beachbody Coach? – Concerns
“But I haven’t reached my goals yet, who would listen to me?”
It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. We watch shows like Biggest Loser all the time, and we are so inspired by the courage and determination of those on the show, yet they are no where near their goal. Why do they inspire us so much that we want to do what they are doing? I believe it’s because we identify more with those that are struggling like we are than we do with those that have already won the battle. We would rather run the race with them than hear about the story of the winning afterward.
“I don’t have the time. I am too busy”
Really? Is that what you tell yourself when someone offers you tickets to a football game or a concert coming to town? As a Beachbody Coach, you own your business. YOU are the boss. You set your own hours and work it like you want to. For me, whenever I get a few minutes a day, between routine tasks, I check in with my clients. Super Easy! If this is something you really want to do, you will rearrange your schedule to make it happen. Just like working out.
“I can’t sell,” or ” I don’t want to sell things.”
PERFECT!!!! Neither do I, and frankly I hate pushy salesmen. It’s not about selling, it’s about sharing. There are SO many people out there who desperately want to be fit, but are confused about what works and what doesn’t. Beachbody WORKS! Just do a YouTube or Google search for “P90X Results“, or “Insanity Results” All you have to do is point them in the right direction, and let the many results speak for themselves. Beachbody already spends millions on advertising.
“Is this one of those MLM Pyramid Schemes?”
Team Beachbody IS a Multilevel Marketing Company or MLM, but a pyramid scheme? NO. People always connect the two, but they are two very different animals. A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. Beachbody has always been about the quality of their products. They just found it made more business sense to let those who use the programs use their stories to sell the products by also helping others enjoy the same success, and rewarding them for steering business to them. So they formed Team Beachbody and the Coaching Network. I think the confusion between the two comes from the shape of the organization. Both resemble a pyramid, but then again so does every organization: governments, businesses, schools, clubs, boy scout troops, even churches.
Besides, how many pyramid schemes have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau for the last 10 YEARS?
It costs too much, I don’t have extra money to do things like this.
To sign up to become a Beachbody Coach costs $39.95. That includes your startup information, and the first month of 4 WEBSITES that Beachbody manages for you to get trained, keep up with your business and take orders to earn your commission, then it costs $15.99 a month after that to maintain the websites. That’s nothing! I used to spend more than that at the vending machines. Plus when you consider the growth potential of your business, that’s what I said YOUR BUSINESS, it’s miniscule in comparison to the expense of doing business with other companies. If you think you don’t have extra money to do this business, that is precisely the reason you DO NEED to do this business. I have seen major success stories from people who were bankrupt, maxing out credit cards just to buy groceries, etc., and are now doing very well on just this business. Also, with a home based business, you’re also eligible for all kinds of tax breaks. If you’re active military or the spouse of active military personnel, guess what? Beachbody appreciates that service and waives those costs. That’s right, you pay nothing to be a Beachbody Coach if you or your spouse serves actively in the United States military.
I’m already a personal trainer or a registered dietician.
Perfect! Your expertise is valuable. Beachbody regularly asks experts like you for advice on how best to improve its programs and nutrition plans. If you Become a Beachbody Coach, you’re not throwing your experience as a trainer or dietician away, you’re extending the geographic boundaries of your profession to help even more people than you could before. You have just expanded your horizons!
What kind of people do I want to join my team of coaches?
- Motivated about fitness and about helping others get fit.
- People who are willing to share their stories and are willing to establish relationships with those they help.
- People who want to end the trend of obesity.
Beachbody Coaches also receive a 25% discount on all Beachbody purchases. I like to promote this as a perk, not a reason to become a Beachbody Coach. Especially when you consider that Team Beachbody Coaches also receive a 25% commission on all orders that come from their web sites.
